CHROMAKAT was featured in the “Buy Art Save Kittens” group show at Corey Helford Gallery.

All proceeds from the exhibit are reinvested back into the South LA-based nonprofit Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats to secure food and medical care for the city’s feral cat population. All artwork featured in the show is donated directly by the artists, spurred by a love for catkind. Proceeds from this event go directly towards helping our furry friends in need.

This piece was inspired by Angie’s Cat - “Bacon” named after the famous painter. The digital piece has Augmented Reality that triggers off a QR Code to spring forth a cat that is all seeing.  No matter what angle the eyes follow you.

"If animals could speak, the dog would be a blundering outspoken fellow; but the cat would have the rare grace of never saying a word too much." ~ Mark Twain

The initial cat head model underwent reappropriation, alterations, and reconstruction to be seamlessly incorporated into the Augmented Reality (AR) experience.
